Thanksgiving Activities Kit, Grades 6 to 8: Trivia Quiz Game Show, Feud and Would You Rather, Google Slides and PowerPoint

$4.99

Middle schoolers the week before break need a game, not a worksheet. This kit holds three Thanksgiving activities for middle school that run straight off the projector: a 30-question trivia game show, an 8-round Feud, and 30 Would You Rather dilemmas, all written for 6th to 8th graders and all no prep.

Perfect For

  • The three days before Thanksgiving break, one game a day
  • Advisory, homeroom, study hall, and the last period on Wednesday
  • Sub plans, early finishers, indoor recess, and class rewards

The Three Activities

  1. Trivia Quiz Game Show: 6 categories, 30 Thanksgiving trivia questions from $100 to $500, each with an answer slide, a Daily Double and a Final Question. Whole class in teams, about 30 to 45 minutes.
  2. Feud: 8 survey questions with the top 5 answers hidden. Two teams guess, the host reveals one answer at a time, the points add up on the scoreboard slide. About 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Would You Rather: 30 Thanksgiving dilemmas, one per slide. Everyone votes, a few students explain their side, next slide. Plus a Make Your Own slide and a printable This or That sheet. About 20 to 30 minutes.

Why Teachers Love This Kit

  • No prep and no logins. Ready in seconds

What the Questions Are Like

Party trivia a 12-year-old can answer or guess: Black Friday, the parade balloons, the football game, why turkey makes you sleepy, how cranberries are harvested, the date of Thanksgiving. Feud surveys about what is on the table and what happens after dinner. Would You Rather dilemmas like cook the whole meal yourself or wash every dish afterward. Nothing gross, nothing political, nothing that assumes a family setup, and no history quiz.

Works On

Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks. Project the slides. No student devices or logins required.

Important

Play the games in Slideshow (Present) mode so every cell, answer bar, button, and link works. The sound buttons (thumbs up, thumbs down, and music) on the trivia slides work in the PowerPoint version, which is included here. Google Slides does not play sounds, so those buttons are decorative in the Slides version.
