PreK Sub Plans 2 Weeks, Emergency Sub Plans for Preschool and Pre-K, Long Term, No Prep, No Reading, 224 Pages

$17.99

Two weeks away from your little ones? Every one of those days is ready. I made these PreK sub plans as two weeks of emergency sub plans for preschool and Pre-K: 10 full days, and every student page is pictures, so nobody has to read or write. Every activity starts with a "Say this to start" box: two or three sentences the sub reads aloud, followed by a short numbered script, so the sub never has to make anything up. Each day has its own theme and friendly creature and 9 short activities: circle time, literacy with a letter sound, math, fine motor and art, science, social and emotional, quiet time, group movement and an optional game. Children work on their own picture page in six activities a day and together as a class in the other three. No prep and no tech for you: print and go. It is just as handy without a sub, for your own two weeks off planning or one activity a day for a month and more.

Perfect For

  • Two weeks out: surgery or medical leave, a family emergency, a planned trip
  • A sub who has never taught Pre-K: every activity has a "Say this to start" box and a short numbered script
  • Your own two weeks when you need a break from planning: no prep, no tech
  • One activity a day for a month and more, in any order
  • A preschool sub tub or emergency sub folder, ready before you need it

How It Works

  1. Print both binders and leave them out. Week 1 covers days 1 to 5 and Week 2 covers days 6 to 10. Each binder has its own week plan on page 4, already filled in with every activity, its page and its minutes.
  2. Each day has one theme, a friendly creature and 9 short activities of 10 to 20 minutes. Snack, outdoor play and rest follow your own posted routine.
  3. The sub reads the "Say this to start" box, then follows the numbered script. On the student pages, a read-aloud strip tells the sub what to say. The children never read or write: every student page is pictures, big numbers and a single letter shown with a picture.
  4. Six activities a day have a picture page for each child. Circle time, group movement and the optional game are for the whole class, with picture cards the sub holds up. The game is a fun way to end the day.
  5. Every activity stands alone, so swap days, skip one, or spread them out. Answers are in the key with pictures, so the sub needs no early childhood training.

What the Sub Gets

  • A note to the substitute in each binder: the day, how the activities work, and what to do if the class gets wiggly
  • A "Say this to start" box on every activity (90 in all): two or three sentences the sub reads aloud to begin
  • A short numbered script for every activity, with the minutes for each step, and an optional "More time?" idea
  • A read-aloud strip on every student page, so the sub knows what to say while the children work
  • The week plan already filled in with page numbers and minutes, a blank schedule, an activity index, a class list and pick-up page, and a "how it went" page
  • Answer keys with pictures for every activity that has an answer
