Spanish Maternity Leave Sub Plans, 6 Weeks, A1 Review, Spanish 1, Any Grade, 30 Days of No Prep Sub Plans for Spanish Class, 384 Pages

$49.99

Six weeks of Spanish class, planned and printed before you leave. I made these Spanish sub plans as maternity leave sub plans and long term sub plans for Spanish 1: six complete binders for level A1, 30 days of review with one set a day for every class, in middle school or high school. Week 1 reviews greetings, numbers and time, weather, family, school routines and food. Week 2 covers home, town and directions, clothes and shopping, sports and weekend plans, and health. Week 3 brings animals, nature, travel, holidays and jobs, and Week 4 countries and cities, chores, music and movies, phones and free time, and friends. Week 5 goes to the supermarket, school clubs, the neighborhood, weather around the world and street food, and Week 6 to a day in a city, art and museums, recycling and food from different countries, with a big final review on the last day. Every day has a Spanish worksheet set with word banks, a calm vocabulary block, a team task, an optional Spanish review game and answer keys. Every instruction is in English, so the sub needs no Spanish. No tech needed. No prep: print and go. I see the six weeks as a strong start for the first weeks of a maternity leave, and they work just as well for a medical leave, a family leave or any absence of about six weeks. I built the 30 sets to review the complete A1 grammar of Spanish 1, and Week 6 ends with a big final review game with a square for every A1 grammar point, so the six weeks also make perfect test prep for an A1 exam or a Spanish 1 final.

Perfect For

  • The first six weeks of a maternity leave, so your Spanish 1 classes start the leave with a plan
  • Six weeks out: surgery or medical leave, a family leave, a long illness
  • A long-term sub who does not know your subject or your class
  • Spanish teachers with several classes at the same level: one set covers every class that day
  • A vacancy or a late hire, when the class needs six weeks of solid review
  • Review weeks before a test or after a break, when nothing new should be taught
  • Your sub tub or emergency sub folder, ready before you need it

How It Works

  1. Print the six binders and leave them on your desk. Week 1 covers days 1 to 5, Week 2 days 6 to 10, Week 3 days 11 to 15, Week 4 days 16 to 20, Week 5 days 21 to 25 and Week 6 days 26 to 30. Each binder has its own week plan on page 4, already filled in with page numbers and minutes for every set.
  2. Monday’s set runs in every period you teach on Monday, Tuesday’s set on Tuesday, and so on. The calm vocabulary block fits any gap, the team task fills a block period, and the game is optional fun for the last 15 minutes.
  3. Every set stands alone, so each plan is only a sample order: swap sets between days, or use one with another class when it fits. Each set opens with a line that says what it reviews, so you can match it to what your class has covered.
  4. Instructions are in English and every answer is in the key, so the sub needs no Spanish.
  5. Prefer your own order? Each binder includes a blank weekly schedule.

Helpful Details

Written for Spanish level A1 (Spanish 1, CEFR A1), in any grade from middle school to high school. Review only: every set goes over material the class has already covered, and nothing is taught for the first time. The six weeks share no topics, review sets, game questions or calm vocabulary, so a class never gets the same worksheet twice. Each set fills one period (about 50 minutes), and the team task fills a block period. Each filled-in plan is a sample order: every set stands alone, so you can move any set to any day. No tech needed: nothing needs a login, a projector, student devices or supplies beyond pencil and paper. Week 1 is the same binder as my one-week Spanish A1 Review sub plans, Weeks 1 and 2 are the same as my 2-week Spanish A1 sub plans, and Weeks 1 to 4 are the same as my 4-week Spanish A1 long term sub plans.
