The Levels, and What They Mean
A1 and A2 stay inside present simple, be, have got, can, there is and there are, past simple and going to, with every gap offering two choices in brackets so beginners succeed instead of guessing. B1 and B2 open the gaps up, add sentences to correct and a writing task, and ask reading questions about inference and the writer’s purpose. C1 runs on collocation, dependent prepositions, discourse markers, hedging and cleft sentences, with academic texts of about 340 to 390 words and questions on argument and the writer’s attitude. Nothing in here is a hard article with the difficult words swapped out.
One Room, Three Levels
Every page carries its level in the corner, so you can hand an A2 text to one table and a B2 text to another and still mark them from the same deck. That is the reason I built the line as four packs rather than one book: a mixed level room needs the same lesson at three widths.
Works On
Windows, Mac, and Chromebooks. Print the PDFs, project the slides, or do both. No student devices or logins required.
